Applicants must submit an additional essay within their application detailing their career goals and skills specific to chamber music. This essay should not exceed 200 words.

We ask that you introduce yourself clearly, but everything else is up to you! Past applicants have shared why they want to study music, why they chose SFCM, music they are currently working on, where they are from, their hobbies, other musical interests, and more. You're welcome to include anything that gives faculty a fuller picture of who you are and what inspires you — both musically and beyond.
